Pic 1 190x300 AACAutoclaved aerated concrete or AAC, as it is known in the industry, is the wave of the future in home construction. Developed in the early 1920s in Europe as an alternative to wood, AAC has seen a tremendous growth in popularity in the United States in the last several years. It is an environmentally friendly building material that lasts more than 200 years without maintenance, offers superior fire protection and acoustic and thermal insulation, is mildew resistant, impenetrable to insects and can resist wind gusts up to 180 miles per hour. This product has proved so effective, insurance companies familiar with its benefits are now offering substantially discounted premiums for homes built with AAC.

IMG 0517 225x300 AACManufactured through a process that combines sand, cement, lime, water and aluminium powder, AAC materials contain millions of tine air cells that provide outstanding insulation, reducing heating and cooling costs by as much as one half. Its porous internal structure also provides dead air space that stops the transfer of noise, creating a much quieter environment than traditional wood frame or concrete homes.

In addition, AAC boasts the highest UL fire ratings in the industry. It will not sustain the growth of mold or mildew, nor will it rot or deteriorate. The seamless construction of a home built with AAC provides no cavity for insect infestation or space for air to leak in or out. Because it is lighter and easier to work with than conventional concrete, AAC reduces construction time by 30 percent and building costs by 15 percent.

We are so confident of its many benefits, we built our new 8,000-square-foot office out of it. Visit us today and see for yourself why AAC is the building material of the new millennium.
